A Chippendale mahogany side chair having a serpentine crest rail with rounded carved ears above a carved strap work splat above a slip seat, and supported by straight front legs with pierced knee brackets.  Made in eastern Pennsylvania, circa 1780.  The slip seat frame is replaced; otherwise, the chair is in fine condition.
