A fine curly maple
mirror with a molded frame having bold striping. This type of mirror is
typically attributed to John Elliott, Jr. working in the early 19th
century in Philadelphia, PA. H-34 1/2", W-22 1/2", D-2 1/4". No damage
or repairs to the front of the mirror but the backboard and mirror plate
are replaced, and a small piece of maple veneer is missing from the top
right side of the frame. Purchased 20 years ago from Philip Bradley
Antiques, Downingtown, PA.
