A fine needlework sampler of silk on linen with a floral boarder, alphabets, and three baskets of flowers.  The sampler also states that it was worked by Mariar Fuller, age 8, in 1829 in Cape Vincent, N.Y.  Cape Vincent is on Lake Ontario, northwest of Watertown, N.Y.  Mariar Fuller was born March 2, 1821 to Levi and Elizabeth Fuller of Schenectady, N.Y. who, sometime before 1829, apparently either moved to Cape Vincent or sent their daughter there for schooling.  The sampler is in fine condition with no damage or repairs, is mounted on acid-free board and is in a nice frame that is 20 3/4" x 21 5/8".  It is from the collection of Jackie and David Kemp.
