A fine Hepplewhite cherry chest having a rectangular top above four graduated drawers, each with four inlaid quarter fans, in a case with a nicely scalloped skirt and supported by four French feet. There is also checkered line inlay around the edges of the top and similar inlay above the skirt. The chest is in great original structural condition, but the brasses are replaced. Finally, the piece has a great cherry color with a mellow patina. H-36", W-41", D-19 1/2". The chest was probably made in Vermont, Circa 1800-1820, and would be a fine addition to any collection.
