A diminutive wood box having a hide and hair covered exterior with brass tacking and handles,  along with its original escutcheon and lock with a working key.  The hinged lid opens to an interior lined with printed paper.  Expected wear to the hide exterior.  Very small at 3" high, 6" wide and 4" deep.  Probably American, circa 1800.
